We are thrilled to announce the upcoming release of our documentary, “Bombo Lumene: The Last Stronghold of Cossyfa.” This captivating film takes you to the heart of the Bombo Lumene forest reserve, the last bastion of wildlife and flora in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo.
Through this documentary, we highlight the heroic efforts being made to save this unique ecosystem. You will discover how a local foundation is tirelessly fighting to restore the splendour of this reserve, once home to majestic species like elephants and lions, now threatened with extinction.
Between the challenges and triumphs, the innovative strategies for biodiversity restoration, the crucial impact of conservation on climate change, the involvement of local communities, and the perspectives of authorities on the National Environmental Protection Plan and initiatives to promote sustainable eco-tourism.
Directed by Buunda Jackson, this documentary results from several months of hard work, in which our team immersed themselves in the reality of Bombo Lumene. We travelled the most remote trails, shared the daily lives of eco-guards, and captured unprecedented footage of this endangered natural heritage. “Bombo Lumene: The Last Refuge of Biodiversity” is not just a film; it’s a wake-up call, an appeal to action to preserve what remains of our precious biodiversity. The release date and streaming platforms will be announced soon.
